Super 8 by Wyndham NAU/Downtown Conference Center

When we first arrived we had two problems with our television but they were both quickly fixed (one fixed by providing fresh batteries in the remote). Once that was done all was well. The accommodation is on Route 66, which was very busy but we heard no noise. Breakfast was in the reception area and the staff were busy the whole time making sure everything was kept filled. The hot food was pancakes, made by those who wanted them, and was very popular. We stayed here twice, spending the time between at another city.

The room was fine and adequate for the couple of nights we spent there. Breakfast was good and although we never used the pool, it looked great. Free parking was great , even better if you could find a space outside your room. The location of the hotel was handy for visiting the South Rim of the Grand Canyon (about 11/2 hours away) & the rest of Flagstaff.

I absolutely loved this hotel and would recommend it to anyone thinking of staying in the area. I would also definitely consider coming back. We used the pool daily and the pool and jacuzzi were lovely. Considering the price of the hotel I really couldn’t fault it. It was easy to find the room was as expected but clean and comfortable. We could park outside and didn’t have any issues with noise from other people. I have a dairy allergy and the staff were very accommodating and showed me all the packaging for the free breakfast so I could ensure I was eating dairy free food.

What do I like? Jacuzzi, staff, free coffee/juice all day, fridge. Our fourth time staying at this location, the last 3 coming to drop off or visit our NAU student. Love the locations proximity to the campus as well as downtown. This place may be kinda small and older, but for our purposes its perfect even for our 4 adult family. It is clean and comfortable. The staff is lovely (all of them). The spa is indoors, hot and fairly decent jets (this is important to us). For the price, this place is perfect for us. No frills (except spa) but we only use the room for sleeping and holding out stuff while out playing.

The pool temperature was quite comfortable for swimming and the hot tub was nice and warm. Rooms are all around the parking lot with the indoor pool/hot tub in the centre just a short walk from your room. Pets are permitted at this property which is a nice plus, along with a small grassy area for your animals. The breakfast was excellent with juices, coffee (reg & decaf), pancakes, boiled eggs, fruit, yogurt, cereal, toast, condiments etc. My thanks to the front staff who were very pleasant and helpful. We all enjoyed our stay!
